The Lincolnshire Area of the United Retriever Club held an open cold game test at Tumby Woodside, near Coningsby, Lincs by kind permission of the Laird Family.
The judges were Ron Gent, Gaynor Gent and Brian Barker, and the event was sponsored by Dodson & Horrell.
The test was walked-up in sugar beet in very warm conditions.
Fourth placed Jim Cochrane, with Brunbois
Larch Leaf, won the Bryan Capps Memorial Trophy for highest placed Lincs Area
member other than the winner.
The Lintran Challenge Trophy for the best retrieve of the day other than the winning dog went to Russell Hodgen’s lab. bitch Rigganhall Twist of Russjancoe.
