A Clay Pigeon Shooting Association instructor has won a clay shooting competition in style using a Purdey Sporter.
Kate Bevan was shooting with the gun for the first time when she won the women's 40 game bird competition at the CLA Game Fair on July 25.
Unlike all the other guns used in the competition, the Purdey Sporter was a standard gun and had not been customised to Kate's specifications.
A victorious Bevan said: "I am delighted to have been given the chance to shoot with the 12 bore Sporter and I am sure that it played a key part in me winning the competition.
"The gun was very well balanced and the point of aim was spot on."
James Purdey and Sons teamed up with the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association to offer visitors to the CLA Game Fair the chance to shoot with the new Sporter, with over 200 people taking part each day.
